Philippines records 1,118 new COVID cases from May 9-15

The Philippines recorded 1,118 new COVID-19 cases from May 9 to May 15, marking a 0.3% decrease compared to the previous week.

The daily average of new cases was 160, slightly lower than the 161 reported in the week prior.

There were 588 severe and critical cases currently hospitalized with 14 new additions during this period.

ICU bed occupancy stood at 15.6%, while non-ICU beds had a utilization rate of 17.5%.

A total of 68,665,070 individuals or 76.29% of the target population are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
