DOF to fund training for contact tracers from unemployed

The DOF plans to fund training and hiring of contact tracers from among those who lost their jobs due to the pandemic.

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III proposed this initiative during a meeting of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Malacañang announced that contact tracers will be hired on either a permanent or temporary basis, with training provided by the government.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año confirmed that the government has sufficient funds to support the hiring and training of these workers.
