De La Salle beats UP in UAAP men's volleyball

De La Salle University defeated the University of the Philippines (UP) in a UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball match with scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-14 on Thursday.

The victory helped De La Salle improve their record to 6-3 and maintain their third place standing in the tournament, ending a two-game losing skid.

Coach Jose Roque emphasized the importance of focus as the second round comes to an end, urging his team to double their efforts from the first round.

De La Salle's key players included Vince Maglinao who scored 12 points, six receptions, and three digs, while JM Ronquillo also contributed with 12 markers and a dig.

With this win, De La Salle aims to secure a semifinal spot when they face University of the East on April 9 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
