DepEd deploys Taal-affected personnel, accepts students sans requirements

The Department of Education (DepEd) will deploy personnel and accept displaced students from schools within Taal Volcano's 14-kilometer danger zone in nearby schools.

Displaced learners and teachers should report to division offices for deployment, with DepEd tracking their needs.

Education Secretary Leonor Briones issued a memorandum ordering schools to accept internally displaced students without complete transfer credentials.

There are about 30,814 affected learners from 78 public schools within the danger zone.
