Diokno turns over DOF to Recto, praises reforms

Former Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno officially turned over the Department of Finance (DOF) leadership to his successor, House Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto, on Monday.

Diokno expressed confidence in Recto, praising him for sponsoring key economic and tax reforms that have transformed the economy.

Recto assumed the role with a pledge to learn from his predecessors and work alongside a team of competent individuals within the DOF.

During his term at DOF, Diokno highlighted several achievements and stated he is leaving the department with the Philippine economy in better shape than when he took office.

Diokno will now return full-time to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Monetary Board as a member.
