DENR: Minors 12 and above can visit Manila Bay dolomite beach

DENR clarified on Tuesday that minors aged 12 years and above will be allowed to visit Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach, while those aged 11 and below are temporarily banned.

The ban was initially announced for children aged 12 and younger due to alert level 3 restrictions but was adjusted as the beach became crowded with up to 25,000 visitors over the past two weekends.

DENR Undersecretary Benny Antiporda said there were no communication lapses between DENR and the national government, but the earlier announcement was based on information that children are allowed in open areas under alert level 3.
