DBM: Agencies' budgets can be adjusted amid Omicron threat

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) says agencies' budgets can be augmented or modified amid the threat of the Omicron variant, despite it not being factored into the P5.024-trillion national budget for 2022.

President Rodrigo Duterte expressed concern over how the Omicron variant could strain government resources and affect the newly signed 2022 budget.

Duterte worries that if the Omicron variant spreads rapidly, it may require additional funds beyond what is already allocated in the national budget.
