Davao Oriental under ECQ from Sept. 8 to 21

Davao Oriental will implement a strict enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from September 8 to September 21 due to rising COVID-19 cases.

The decision, made by local chief executives led by Governor Nelson Dayanghirang, aims to control the spread of the virus and allow healthcare facilities to recover.

Under ECQ, curfew hours are set from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., wakes are limited to three days, and there is a 24-hour liquor ban.

The province's health sector will focus on treating active cases with strict border control measures in place to limit non-essential travel.
