Arellano beats Lyceum 91-86; Abiera headbutts Bravo

Arellano upset Lyceum in a thrilling 91-86 victory during the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Saturday, October 19.

The game took an unexpected turn when Arellano's Renzo Abiera accidentally knocked out Lyceum star JM Bravo with a headbutt near the end of the match.

Fellow Lyceum player John Barba attempted to revive Bravo before medical personnel removed him from the arena.

Bravo, who was initially sidelined due to a spine injury, reportedly had difficulty breathing after regaining consciousness.

Lorenz Capulong led Arellano with 30 points and 16 rebounds, while Lyceum's John Barba scored 18 points in their heartbreaking loss.

Both teams now share a 6-6 record, placing them in a tie for fourth place with Letran.
