Creamline Cool Smashers win eighth PVL title

The Creamline Cool Smashers secured their eighth Premier Volleyball League (PVL) championship on Sunday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum by defeating Choco Mucho Flying Titans in a two-game finals sweep.

Despite facing numerous challenges during the elimination round and semifinals, Alyssa Valdez's leadership and her teammates' resilience led Creamline to overcome setbacks and secure their fourth consecutive title.

Jema Galanza was named Finals MVP for her outstanding performance with 20 points, while Bernadeth Pons contributed 17 points and Tots Carlos added 16 points. In a comeback from being down one set, the Cool Smashers clinched victory in front of over 23,000 fans.

Bea de Leon was crucial in Creamline's final-set surge, delivering the championship-winning spike that secured their triumph.

Captain Alyssa Valdez emphasized that despite losing key players to leagues overseas and battling injuries, her teammates' determination played a vital role in securing another title for Creamline. The team faced unprecedented challenges this season but rallied together to prove they are still the league's winningest team by a wide margin.
