Choco Mucho loses Game 1 to Creamline in PVL All-Filipino Conference finals

Choco Mucho advanced to the finals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference for a second consecutive year but lost Game 1 to Creamline in a decisive four-set match on Thursday, May 9.

Creamline secured their victory with Jema Galanza leading the offensive efforts and scoring 20 points from 18 kills and two blocks, while Tots Carlos contributed 17 points. Young setter Mafe Galanza also provided crucial support off the bench, helping Creamline to comebacks in the second and third sets.

Despite losing Game 1, Choco Mucho head coach Dante Alinsunurin emphasized that his team has a deeper roster this year compared to last December's finals loss to Creamline. He highlighted the need for better composure in end-game situations.

Creamline seeks to wrap up the All-Filipino Conference title series when it faces Choco Mucho at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, with a larger crowd expected for Game 2.

Coach Sherwin Meneses of Creamline remains focused on winning two more games despite having a 1-0 lead, noting that consistency and mindset are key to becoming champions again.
