Petro Gazz leads Creamline 1-0 in PVL All-Filipino Finals

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino championship series begins on Tuesday with Creamline aiming for a record five-peat feat and an 11th PVL title overall, facing Petro Gazz who seeks its third crown.

Creamline, led by Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlos, aims to extend its four-year winning streak in the PVL after defeating Choco Mucho in the semifinals but faces a strong challenge from Petro Gazz following their recent victory over Creamline last month.

In the Finals opener on Tuesday, Petro Gazz secured a 1-0 lead with a thrilling five-set win over defending champion Creamline at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Petro Gazz is now one step closer to its third PVL championship trophy and first All-Filipino Conference title after defeating Creamline in sets of 25-17, 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, and 15-10.

The championship match resumes on Thursday, April 10, with the first serve scheduled at 6:30 p.m. in Metro Manila for a decisive Game Two without a third game planned should the series go to another match.
