Creamline advances to PHVB quarterfinals with win over Chery Tiggo

Creamline secured its first victory over Chery Tiggo in straight sets (25-10, 27-25, 25-21) on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena, advancing to a best-of-three quarterfinal series.

The defending champions aim for an early semifinal berth as they face Chery Tiggo again on Saturday, March 22, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City; another victory would send Creamline straight to the semis and potentially towards a five-peat feat and 11th crown overall.

Game two is crucial for both teams with potential game three either on March 25 or March 27 depending on the outcome of the first two matches, as Creamline's coach Sherwin Meneses celebrated his 100th victory since taking over the franchise four years ago.

Chery Tiggo nearly won the second set but was outmatched by Creamline’s poise and chemistry in the third, making it clear that the job is not yet done for the Cool Smashers as they prepare for Game 2.
