Comelec extends voter reg deadline to Oct 30

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has extended voter registration from October 11 to 30, in response to a request by lawmakers.

Speaker Lord Allan Velasco praised Comelec for heeding calls to extend the deadline, allowing more Filipinos to register amid the pandemic.

Registration services will be available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, except on October 30 when it will also be open on Saturday.

Overseas voter registration is extended until October 14.
