D'Navigators beat Criss Cross, face Cignal in semifinals

D'Navigators secured a surprising victory over Criss Cross in the semifinal round of the 2024 Spikers' Turf Open Conference on Wednesday, setting up their Friday match against defending champion Cignal HD Spikers at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Francis Saura led D'Navigators with 20 points from attacks, while Edward Camposano contributed 12 points and Deanne De Pedro added 10 points in the semifinal win.

Cignal HD Spikers are coming off a nine-game winning streak after defeating PGJC-Navy Sealions last Wednesday, aiming to maintain their dominance against D'Navigators at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kim Dayandante was named Player of the Match for her 16 excellent sets and five points, while Rick Adao contributed with 22 excellent receptions in D'Navigators' semifinal victory.

Both teams are expected to put up a strong fight as they look to advance to the finals; Cignal's Bryan Bagunas and Jau Umandal will lead their team, while D'Navigators rely on Francis Saura, Toto De Pedro, and Edward Camposano.
