Two under investigation for nCoV in Kalibo hospital

Two individuals are under investigation at a public hospital in Kalibo, Aklan for possible infection by the novel coronavirus.

A 17-year-old Chinese tourist and a 23-year-old Filipino flight attendant, who had recently traveled to Wuhan, China, are being monitored.

The Chinese tourist is experiencing flu-like symptoms while the flight attendant has been confined with a sore throat since Thursday.

Dr. Bong Cuachon of the Aklan Provincial Health Office stated that there are no confirmed cases in Aklan and authorities are coordinating with the Bureau of Quarantine and Department of Health.
