Chelsea Manalo crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024, addresses meme moment

Chelsea Manalo has gone viral for a moment during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night when she appeared unsure about her crown, acknowledging that she has 'entered the meme world'.

In an interview on 'Unang Hirit,' Chelsea explained her nervousness and mentioned how Michelle Dee adjusted the crown for her.

Chelsea also addressed a social media post suggesting she almost quit due to financial difficulties but found support from various sources including Governor Daniel Fernando and Vice Governor Alex Castro of Bulacan, as well as fashion designer Manny Halasan.

She emphasized that she would continue to focus on positive encouragement and hoped that people would uplift her and other deserving candidates during the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico later this year.

Chelsea was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024 alongside four other queens who received their respective crowns at the event held on Wednesday.
