Chelsea Manalo wins Miss Universe Philippines 2024

Chelsea Manalo from Bulacan won the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 title and will represent the country in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.

Overwhelmed with joy, Chelsea dedicated her victory to her mother Contessa and stepfather who supported her dreams since childhood, emphasizing that she is a Filipino-American woman of color and the first half-Black contestant to win the title.

In her first media conference on Friday after winning, Chelsea expressed gratitude for the support she has received and said she feels honored to represent the Philippines as Miss Universe.

Chelsea also stated during the conference that she embodies more than just a woman who wears a crown; she represents humility and transformational leadership as a Filipino woman of color.

The Bulakenya queen posted her official Miss Universe Philippines portraits on Instagram, showcasing herself in a white serpentine archival dress by designer Jot Losa and the coveted Miss Universe Philippines crown.
