Speaker Cayetano challenges Velasco to prove support

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano challenged Marinduque Representative Lord Allan Velasco to show proof of his support for the speakership position.

On Thursday, an ally of Velasco claimed that there are 'more or less 161' lawmakers backing Velasco's bid.

Cayetano accused Velasco and his allies of spreading lies and black propaganda.

Velasco's supporters previously stated they have a majority to elect him as Speaker.
