Cayetano denies favoritism in infrastructure funds

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano denied on Monday that his district and those of his closest allies in the House will receive a large portion of the infrastructure funds in the proposed P4.5-trillion national budget.

Cayetano pointed out that seven out of the top 10 districts with the highest allocations under the DPWH budget are represented by lawmakers not closely aligned with him.

He dismissed claims made by rival Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, stating that accusations of favoritism in budget allocation were false.
