DBM ready to augment nCoV funds

House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) assured him it would augment funds to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country.

Cayetano noted that DBM Secretary Wendel Avisado gave this assurance during a meeting with House leaders, emphasizing that all available DOH funds should be used for containment efforts.

He also urged local government units to use their quick response and calamity funds to address the needs of affected people.
