Cargo ship from China under quarantine before departing Bacolod

A cargo ship from China, M/V Unicorn Bravo, arrived in Bacolod City on Monday and was initially placed under quarantine due to concerns over the coronavirus.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia subsequently banned all vessels coming from China in any port in Bacolod, leading to discussions about the vessel's departure.

The Philippine Coast Guard is complying with the mayor’s order and the ship is expected to depart soon after initial quarantine checks were conducted on its crew members.
