PCG investigates MV Harmony 6 for quarantine rule violation

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is investigating a Panama-flagged cargo vessel, MV Harmony 6, for allegedly violating the Philippines' 14-day quarantine rule and misrepresenting its port clearance details.

The ship arrived in Changzhou, China on February 13 and left on February 18 but declared to Philippine authorities that it had departed China on February 10.

Captain Luu Van Loi also allegedly turned off the vessel's Automatic Identification System (AIS) from February 19 until its arrival in Poro Point, La Union on February 23.
