Caraga active Covid-19 cases rise to 558

As of Thursday night, the number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the Caraga region increased to 558 with an additional 147 new cases.

Most of these new cases were recorded in Agusan del Sur (59), Butuan City (39), and Surigao del Sur (25).

Agusan del Sur and Butuan City are under Alert Level 3 until January 31, while other areas like Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands reported fewer cases or none.

On Wednesday night, the region recorded 110 new cases, bringing the cumulative total to 49,651 since the start of the pandemic.
