Capas mayor appeals for alternative quarantine sites

Capas, Tarlac Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan appealed to the DOH on Sunday to find alternative quarantine sites for the second batch of repatriated Filipinos from the M/V Diamond Princess cruise ship.

The mayor expressed concern over the large number of repatriates, nearly 500 people, who will be quarantined at New Clark City starting Tuesday next week.

Residents in Capas have also voiced concerns about the quarantine facility, with some lamenting its impact on their livelihoods and questioning why the repatriated individuals cannot be quarantined elsewhere.
