2 more Pinoy repatriates show symptoms; total symptomatic rises to 5

Two more Filipino repatriates from Japan have shown symptoms of respiratory illness and were transferred to a hospital for testing.

This brings the total number of symptomatic repatriates to five out of 445 Filipinos who returned earlier this week from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan.

On Thursday, three repatriates showed symptoms but two tested negative while results are pending for one.

The latest updates indicate that two out of the three symptomatic individuals on Friday have also tested negative for COVID-19 and will be under strict monitoring.
