PHP6M worth of drugs seized, 122 arrested in Bicol

Police in the Bicol region seized more than PHP6 million worth of illegal drugs during a month-long anti-drug operation in April.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of 122 drug offenders, including 15 high-value targets and 107 street-level targets, from 117 operations conducted across six provinces.

Among the seized drugs were 906.6470 grams of shabu and 53.1900 grams of marijuana with a total market value of PHP6.1 million.

The highest amount of seized drugs was recorded in Camarines Norte at PHP1.7 million, followed by Masbate at PHP1.4 million, and Camarines Sur at PHP1.2 million.

PRO5 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon emphasized the importance of community support in creating a safer and drug-free environment for all Bicolanos.
