Parts of Luzon see rain, floods after heavy rains

On November 29, parts of Luzon experienced scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies and a tail-end frontal system.

PAGASA warned that isolated rain showers could occur across the Philippines on Sunday.

Heavy rains from the previous day caused flooding in San Mateo, Isabela, affecting 50 families, and triggered a landslide near Mt. Province, stranding a rescue van.

In Tuguegarao, Cagayan, about 40 families were evacuated due to renewed flooding.

The National Irrigation Administration-Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-MRIIS) discharged nearly 800 cubic meters per second of water, warning residents in Northern Luzon of potential flooding.
