Bus crash near SCTEX kills 10, injures 37

A tragic bus crash near the SCTEX Exit toll plaza in Tarlac City left 10 people dead and over 37 injured, including four minors.

The incident involved a Solid North bus operated by Dagupan Bus Co., which collided with multiple vehicles; eight of the casualties were passengers from a Nissan Urvan heading to a youth camp for a religious organization in Pangasinan, while two others were from an SUV on a family vacation to Baguio City.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon attended the wake of eight victims and reaffirmed the DOTr's commitment to pursuing justice for the victims and their families.

Representatives from the bus company have reached out to the families of the victims, and operations of the Pangasinan Solid North Transit Inc. have been suspended for 30 days following the fatal crash.

The government of Tarlac and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are providing assistance with hospital bills and funeral expenses.
