Bukidnon declares enhanced quarantine over COVID-19

Bukidnon Governor Jose Maria Zubiri Jr. declared an 'enhanced quarantine' starting Saturday midnight to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

Non-residents will be barred from entering the province except for health workers, government officials related to COVID-19 response, humanitarian missions like Philippine Red Cross, and those delivering essential supplies.

Cabanglasan Mayor Renante Inocando and 17 other Bukidnon mayors are in self-quarantine after dining with Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri who tested positive for COVID-19 on March 10.

Inocando said the mayors had a photo opportunity with Zubiri before returning to Bukidnon, where they continued their duties until news of his diagnosis emerged.
