QC places 13 COVID-19 cases under home quarantine

Quezon City has placed 13 out of its 62 confirmed COVID-19 cases under home quarantine as of Tuesday, March 24.

Five patients from urban poor communities were transferred to Hope 1 Hotel-Quarantine Facility and one patient needing dialysis was hospitalized.

The city also reported three new deaths on Tuesday; however, all had pre-existing medical conditions and died before testing positive for the virus.

Previously, on March 23, fourteen cases were sent home following DOH directives allowing mild-symptom patients to self-isolate at home under close monitoring by local health authorities.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed concern over sending confirmed cases home due to lack of space in facilities and urged for stricter measures.
