RITM: Yap negative for COVID-19, clerical oversight caused error

ACT-CIS party-list Representative Eric Go Yap remains negative for COVID-19, contrary to earlier reports.

The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) apologized for the error caused by a clerical oversight and encoding mistake.

Yap chairs the House Committee on Appropriations and had recently met with top government officials including President Rodrigo Duterte.

Four other congressmen announced they would self-quarantine after Yap initially tested positive, but this was due to an error.
