Brownlee joins Gilas training, set for Asia Cup Qualifiers

Gilas Pilipinas star Justin Brownlee is shifting his focus to the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers matches after Barangay Ginebra's loss in the PBA Governors' Cup finals.

Brownlee, who averaged only 19.67 points per game and struggled with three-point shooting during the finals, will participate in two homestands against New Zealand on November 21 and Hong Kong on November 24 at Mall of Asia Arena.

The national team plans to hold a training camp from November 15 at Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna, where Brownlee is expected to report on Friday after resting and recovering in Manila.

Gilas is set to feature AJ Edu, June Mar Fajardo, Kai Sotto, and Scottie Thompson among its key players for the upcoming matches against tough opponents like New Zealand and Hong Kong.

Jamie Malonzo remains sidelined due to an injury and will not be available until he returns to action with Barangay Ginebra.
