Gilas Pilipinas starts FIBA Asia Cup training in Laguna

Gilas Pilipinas Men have commenced training for the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers 2025 at the Inspire Sports Academy in Laguna, with 13 of its 15 pool players present.

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) shared practice photos on Facebook and encouraged the public to watch the games scheduled for November 21 and 24, featuring players like AJ Edu who is still recovering from a knee injury.

Head coach Tim Cone announced that the team will train until November 18 before moving to the Mall of Asia Arena on November 19 and 20.

Carl Tamayo and Justin Brownlee are expected to join training soon; Tamayo will arrive on Friday night, while Brownlee is recovering from a stomach flu.

On November 24, Gilas Pilipinas will play against Hong Kong at the Mall of Asia Arena following their match against New Zealand on November 21.
