DSWD: Only 104 LGUs complete cash aid distribution

Only 104 out of 1,632 local government units have completed the distribution of social amelioration benefits as of Thursday's deadline set by the DILG.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista reported that P50 billion worth of aid has been disbursed, with P33 billion reaching 5.7 million low-income families and P16.4 billion to 3.7 million families under the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program.

Bohol Governor Arthur Yap criticized the distribution process, stating that it is problematic due to outdated data from a 2015 survey used by DSWD, resulting in many deserving families being left out.
