Bohol gov urges DSWD to speed up aid distribution

On Tuesday, the provincial government of Bohol and the Philippine Coast Guard delivered food, water, and clothes to island villages cut off from the mainland due to Typhoon Odette.

Governor Arthur Yap emphasized the urgency of aid delivery as villagers have had no food or water since Thursday when the typhoon hit.

Yap warned the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) about delays in aid distribution, urging immediate download of relief funds to local government units.

The Bohol governor supervised the loading of relief goods onto the Philippine Coast Guard vessel BRP Tubbataha for delivery to three island municipalities: Talibon, Getafe, and Bien Unido.
