Blackwater ends four-game skid, beats Terrafirma

The Jeffrey Cariaso-coached Blackwater Elite snapped a four-game skid by defeating Terrafirma, 96-86, on Wednesday in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

George King led Blackwater with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Justin Chua contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds off the bench, and Mike Ayonayon added 15 points.

Coach Jeffrey Cariaso emphasized that despite facing Terrafirma, who remained winless at 0-10, pride was a significant motivator for his team to end their losing streak.

Bench players like Jaydee Tungcab also played crucial roles with 11 points each, helping Blackwater improve its record to 2-9 in the conference standings.

With three games left in the elimination round, Blackwater must win all remaining matches against Converge, Phoenix Fuel Masters, and NorthPort Batang Pier to have a chance at reaching the quarterfinals.
