Typhoon Bising affects over 302K people, 4 dead

Typhoon Bising affected over 302,564 people or 75,448 families across Cagayan, Bicol, Eastern Visivas, and Caraga regions as of April 23.

Four deaths were reported with casualties in Region 7, Southern Leyte, Davao del Sur, and a previously missing person found dead.

The number of injured increased to 13 from Camarines Norte, Cebu, Eastern Samar, and Davao del Sur.

Around 60,601 families or 235,752 persons were affected in 965 barangays with 4,511 families seeking aid in evacuation centers and 6,269 families taking shelter with relatives.

The typhoon damaged 1,030 houses, of which 86 were totally damaged and 944 partially damaged.

Six road sections and a bridge were reported not passable but are now passable; power interruptions occurred in 63 cities and municipalities, with restoration completed in 554 areas.
