DOH monitoring 12 new coronavirus cases in Bicol

As of February 13, the Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol is monitoring 12 new individuals who have traveled from countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus and are being watched for symptoms.

These persons under monitoring (PUMs) do not show symptoms but are placed under quarantine by their local government units.

Previously, there were five PUIs in the region who all tested negative for the virus; two of them had been discharged.

On February 10, DOH confirmed two PUIs in Bicol, and Mayor Noel Rosal assured that these individuals were isolated and receiving medical care.
