Philippine team in Wuhan to bring home OFWs amid nCoV outbreak

A Philippine repatriation team has arrived in Wuhan to bring home OFWs amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Forty-five Filipinos have confirmed their intention to be repatriated and will be quarantined at New Clark City’s Athletes’ Village upon arrival on Sunday.

Clark International Airport is prepared with protocols for the arriving Filipinos, who will not pass through the passenger terminal but instead go directly to a designated building near the airport for inspection by quarantine officers and immigration personnel.

Around 40 other Filipinos in various provinces across China have expressed desire to be repatriated, and the government has set up hotlines for them to seek assistance.

The Palace mandated all returning Filipinos from China to undergo a 14-day quarantine as a precautionary measure against nCoV.
