Bacolod opens vax rollout to all 18+; sets up new site

Bacolod City has opened its COVID-19 vaccination rollout to all residents aged 18 and above starting October 13.

The city government will set up an additional vaccination site at the 888 Chinatown Square mall on October 23-24, in addition to existing sites at SM City Bacolod and Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

As of October 9, over 148,000 residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with the majority of September's 168 deaths among unvaccinated individuals.

Em Ang, executive director of the Emergency Operations Center Task Force and coordinator of the CoVaC, emphasized that everyone is now a top priority for vaccination to protect the healthcare system and achieve herd immunity.
