Bacolod, Iloilo mayors appeal for lower alert levels

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia appealed to the IATF to lower the city's alert level from Level 4 to Level 3 due to decreasing cases.

Leonardia cited DOH data showing a 39% decrease in case growth rate and a 13.24 attack rate per 100,000 people within two weeks.

The mayor also noted that hospital bed utilization is at 69%, with half of the patients from Bacolod City and the rest from neighboring towns.

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas similarly appealed for a lower alert level status due to decreasing cases in his city.
