The Blue Eagles secured a crucial win with balanced efforts from five players scoring in double figures, despite trailing after leading by 15 points at halftime.

Andrew Bongo led Ateneo with 15 points and six rebounds, while Shaun Tauno added 13 points.

Chris Koon and Joshua Lazaro each recorded double-doubles, contributing significantly to the team's victory.

Ateneo head coach Tab Baldwin emphasized that the win was about more than just pride; it represented living up to community expectations and personal standards.

University of the East, without Precious Momowei due to a suspension, fell to 6-7 in the standings with one game left against University of the Philippines.
