Quiambao leads La Salle past Ateneo with triple-double

During an intense game against Ateneo in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament on Sunday night, La Salle's Kevin Quiambao and coach Topex Robinson shared a light-hearted moment that eased tension.

Quiambao made a key three-pointer after a turnover, extending the lead to 36-25, with Robinson praising his player for stepping up in crunch time.

Despite Ateneo’s box-and-one defense aimed at Quiambao, he still managed an impressive performance with 13 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.

Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin commended Quiambao's leadership and impact on the game, noting his ability to contribute beyond scoring.

Baldwin also highlighted Mike Phillips' dominance on the boards, contributing 13 points, 14 rebounds, three steals, and two assists, crucial for La Salle’s rebounding advantage of 62-38.
