Ateneo beats Arellano in Shakey's Super League

Ateneo de Manila University defeated Arellano University in the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-Season Championship on Saturday, securing their spot among the top teams in Pool C.

Zey Pacia and Lyann De Guzman each scored 10 points for Ateneo, helping them win with scores of 25-17, 25-18, and 25-18.

Despite Arellano's effort to come back from a deficit in the third set, Ateneo pulled ahead with an 8-3 run and sealed the victory, tying Arellano at 2-1 behind National University.

San Beda finally entered the win column after defeating Emilio Aguinaldo College, improving their record to 1-2 in Pool A as they prepare for their next match on Sunday against De La Salle.

UST's Angge Poyos contributed 15 points and Regina Jurado added 13 as they advanced to face the University of the East Warriors on Sunday.
