DOH urges mask use inside homes for elderly, immunocompromised

The DOH on Monday urged people living with elderly and immunocompromised individuals to wear face masks even inside the home.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said wearing a face shield is encouraged but not mandatory due to cost concerns.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año advised family members to practice physical distancing and wear face masks at home to prevent COVID-19 transmission, especially in households where maintaining distance is difficult.
