Angeles mayor orders lockdown of hospital for admitting QC patient

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin ordered the closure and lockdown of the Philippine Rehabilitation Institute Medical Center (PRIMC) on Saturday after it admitted a COVID-19 patient and three persons under investigation from Quezon City without informing the city government.

The mayor stated that PRIMC had violated its agreement to admit only local patients with COVID-19, putting the entire city at risk.

Lazatin deployed police officers to secure the hospital and prevent personnel or patients from leaving.
