Amihan brings light rain to northern Luzon

The northeast monsoon (amihan) is bringing light rain across northern Luzon, with cloudy skies and isolated showers expected in other parts of the country.

PAGASA reported that Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will see light rains, while Caraga may experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), with a risk of floods or landslides.

Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan are experiencing partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by easterlies, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Gale warnings have been issued for the northern seaboard of northern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Luzon, Visayas, and eastern seaboard of Mindanao due to moderate to strong winds and rough seas.
