Ambo weakens into LPA, Signal No. 1 lifted in Batanes

Tropical Depression Ambo weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) on Sunday, moving northeastward over the Bashi Channel.

PAGASA lifted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 for Batanes but warned of light to moderate rain until nightfall.

Moderate to rough seas were expected in Batanes and Babuyan Islands, with PAGASA advising against sea travel for small seacraft.

Cloudy skies and rainshowers are forecasted over Batanes within the next 24 hours.

Localized thunderstorms brought partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
