DOJ probes suspended Mayor Guo’s trip to Malaysia

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating whether suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has left the country despite claims by Senator Risa Hontiveros that she departed for Malaysia on July 18.

Guo's Filipino citizenship and her links to a raided POGO hub in her locality are under scrutiny. She faces a Senate arrest order and was dismissed from service with forfeiture of retirement benefits and perpetual disqualification from public office by the Office of the Ombudsman, which she plans to appeal.

Despite an ongoing investigation into Guo's activities and allegations against her, she managed to leave the country without being stopped or tracked by government agencies.
